Her father; Ted Follows; and her mother; Dawn Greenhalgh; (Now divorced), are both highly respected Canadian actors. Her sister; Samantha; is also an actor, and her brother; Laurence; is a producer, and her sister; Edwina; is a writer and producer. With all this talent surrounding her, it is no wonder that Megan decided to have a career in the theatre as well. It is also no wonder that she is one of the greatest stars of today's times. Contrary to Popular belief, Megan did not start her career at age 9 in a bell Canada commercial. She started long before that, making movies with her siblings. She was the first Follows child who insisted she could act. Therefore, her parents finally got her an agent, also getting her siblings agents so as not to play favourites. After doing the Bell Canada Commercial in 1977, she went on to doing many more, commercials and TV Shows; including; "The Baxters", "Domestic Life", "Matt and Jenny" and also doing a guest appearance in an episode of the well known sitcom "Facts of Life". She just recently did guest appearances on three well-known dramas; "Law and Order" "The Fugitive", and "Family Law". She is best known for her part as Anne Shirley in "Anne of Green Gables". Megan was 16 years old when she played Anne. In 1986, she received a Gemini Award for that performance. She later won another Gemini Award for her performance in "Anne of Avonlea." Megan is divorced from Christopher Porter whom she married in 1991. She has two children who are named Lyla Anne and Russell. Megan lives in Silver Lake, Holly-Wood.
